Anatoly Andriash has over 27 years' experience in international transactions involving major Russian oil, gas and mining companies. He specializes in corporate and commercial law, including M&A transactions and joint ventures with an industry focus. As a partner in the Corporate practice, Anatoly manages the firm's energy and natural resources projects.

Anatoly advises Russian and international companies in various sectors of the economy on a wide range of cross-border transactions, but is particularly known for large-scale transactions related to the mining and processing of mineral resources, the development of optimal corporate strategies for companies in the energy sector, and M&A transactions in the energy, oil and gas sectors.

Anatoly is a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the Mining Advisory Council's Legislative Working Group, having previously served on the organization's governing body since its founding in 1999. Anatoly is also a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators.

Since 2023, Anatoly Andriyash has been a lecturer at the Department of Legal Regulation of Fuel and Energy Complex at MIEP MGIMO. Anatoly teaches the course “Legal Support of Energy Business in Russia and Abroad” at MIEP's Master's Program “Legal Support of International Projects and Energy Business”.

Advised Rosneft on the sale of a minority stake in Vankorneft JSC and related joint operating arrangements to ONGC Videsh Limited. Vankorneft JSC is one of Rosneft's principal production subsidiaries holding licences for the Vankor field in the Krasnoyarsk region of Russia
NOVATEK
Advised on marketing and transportation issues in connection with the establishment of a joint venture for a natural gas production and liquefied natural gas project
Shell
Advised Shell in connection with its planned acquisition of a 50% stake in Meretoyakhaneftegaz LLC from Gazprom Neft PJSC to implement Russia's largest oil production project in five years. This new joint venture is being set up to further develop the Tazovskoye and Meretoyakhinskoye oil and gas fields and certain other oil and gas condensate fields in Western Siberia

Advised Shell regarding a proposed acquisition of a 25% stake in Gazpromneft-AeroBryansk LLC and the establishment of a new oil and gas joint venture between Gazprom Neft PJSC (50%) and Repsol (25%). As a result of Repsol's withdrawal from the transaction, it was subsequently restructured into a 50/50 joint venture between Gazprom Neft PJSC and Shell
