Viktor is a recognized Russian expert in the field of class actions. He successfully defended clients in court cases and prepared expert legal opinions on class action cases. He is the author of a specialized telegram channel, a founder of legal conferences and the author of numerous books and articles on class actions.
Prior to joining the LEVEL Legal Services team, Viktor headed the Dispute resolution and Litigation Department at a major state-owned company, where he represented its interests in the largest and most significant civil law cases in person. Previously, Viktor worked for about 10 years in well-known Russian law firms, where he represented clients in major cases.
Viktor’s professional experience includes representing clients in courts of all levels, including the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, all cassation commercial courts, most of the appeal commercial courts, and many courts of general jurisdiction. Court cases with his participation were included in the Practice Reviews of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
Viktor also acts as an arbitrator in Russian and international commercial disputes and is on the lists of arbitrators of various arbitration institutions.
Viktor is honored with numerous professional awards: “Best Legal Departments” in the category “Effective Claims and Litigation Work” and “The Case of the Year” by Legal Insight journal. In 2024 he has got the award “Success” from the Association of Corporate Lawyers of Russia.
He holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Law (RSPL) Degree. Viktor is a member of the Editorial Board of the Arbitration and Civil Procedure Journal. He has a personal course in the Higher School of Economics titled “Emerging Issues in Class Actions”.
He is the author of the monograph “Defending the Respondent against Class Action” (2024), the editor of the book “Class Actions: Complexities and Prospects” (2025), the author of more than 45 scientific and practical articles on the issues of civil law, civil and administrative process, management of legal function.
