Denis Almakaev heads LEVEL Legal Services' International Litigation practice. He has been admitted to practice in Russia, England and Wales, the US (New York State) and Singapore (SICC). He specializes in international arbitration and proceedings related to the search for and the foreclosure against assets located abroad. Denis has experience representing clients in such jurisdictions as England, France, the US, Switzerland, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Cayman Islands, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar and others.

In addition to having obtained a higher legal education at Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow) and a Master's degree at Columbia University (New York), Denis graduated from the Academy of International Commercial Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris) and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Arbitrators (London).

In addition, Denis is one of two Russians who have been conferred the status of ‘member’ by INSOL International, an organization for international cooperation in cross-border bankruptcy.

Denis has been admitted to practice before the Singapore International Commercial Court as a registered foreign lawyer with the right to represent clients in the court of first instance and appeal. Denis is currently the only lawyer based in Russia with this qualification.

The Legal 500 has recommended Denis as one of Russia's leading lawyers in the field of international arbitration and dispute resolution. The leading Russian ratings Pravo-300, Kommersant and Forbes Legal Club recommend Denis in the field of international dispute resolution and commercial arbitration.
